What It Looks Like to Be a Boundary Crosser

Congrats to fellow boundary crosser, Ron Helman, who recently won New Mexico's version of the Grammy for Best Instrumental Performance for his CD, "Reflections of Beauty"  at the 2007 New Mexico Music Awards ceremony.

I first met Ron at the International Coaching Federation conference last November. I was intrigued when he introduced himself as a fellow coach and a professional jazz trumpeter.

I recognized him as a boundary crosser when he emailed last month to say that he would be on a local radio show, first to talk about coaching (Living Juicy was the name of the program) and then two days later, to talk about his jazz music. Or maybe, based on Marci Alboher's book, One Person/Multiple Careers: A New Model for Work/Life, I should say that Ron is a prime example of a "slash," as in "professional coach/jazz trumpeter."

Whatever term you use, individuals who operate in multiple worlds can live pretty juicy lives. Are you one of them?
